Support The Truth

Earlier we linked to Jim’s Big Ego and their great tune “WTFMFWTFAYT”.

Well, Jim’s apparently fed up with the scarcity of protest music, and has released a new digital EP, “Support the Truth“. For $5 you get yourself a handy bunch of anti-Bush songs, including a redone version of WTFMFWTFAYT.

And before you flinch at “protest song”, envisioning a crusty hippie with an acoustic guitar singing plaintive folky tunes, this is Jim’s Big Ego, so it rocks. You can check out samples at the Big Ego site.

Revisionism

“It is deeply irresponsible to rewrite the history of how that war began,” said a leading figure about the war in Iraq.

I agree. The war began because we had proof, certifable proof, that Iraq had WMDs. When our search came up zero, some tried to edit history, saying the war had been to stop al Qaeda. When we found no substantive connections to al Qaeda (well, when we found that there were none before the war, though there are plenty now), then they tried to edit history again, saying the war was to “spread freedom”.

Now let’s look at that quote again:

“While it’s perfectly legitimate to criticize my decision or the conduct of the war, it is deeply irresponsible to rewrite the history of how that war began,” the president said.

Yes, you read that right. Clearly our dear leader has a different definition of “rewrite”.

Do As I Say, Not…

Sen. Santorum says that medical malpractice suits are killing us, and has twice sponsored bills to place caps at $250,000.

Not that this stopped his wife from suing for malpractice for $500,000 and getting a $350,000 award.

Bring Out Your Debt

In the past four years alone (2001-2005), the Bush Administration has borrowed a staggering $1.05 trillion.
