I Guess We’ll Have To Take Her Word For It
What’s good for the gander isn’t good for the goose.
What’s good for the gander isn’t good for the goose.
I have never been happier to call this man my Congressman:
Ah, Republican family values at work:
Protesters who marched at the home of Wisconsin state senator Randy Hopper (R-Fond du Lac) were met with something of a surprise on Saturday. Mrs. Hopper appeared at the door and informed them that Sen. Hopper was no longer in residence at this address, but now lives in Madison, WI with his 25-year-old mistress.
The best part?
…Mrs. Hopper intends to sign the recall petition against her husband. The petition has already been signed by the family’s maid.

Really, the title of the article says it all.
First James O’Keefe, aka “Ashton Kutcher’s evil opposite”, ran a “sting” on ACORN, heavily edited the footage to skew the scenario, and released it. The media went nuts. ACORN took heat. Then it turned out that, viewed in context, the conversation was quite different (e.g. O’Keefe was not wearing a Huggy Bear costume at the time.)
Did we learn from this? Nope.
NPR’s Ron Schiller said this:
I won’t break a confidence, but a person who was an ambassador — so, a very highly placed Republican — another person, who was one of the top donors to the Republican party, they both told me they voted for Obama, which they never believed they could ever do in their lives. That they could ever vote for a Democrat, ever. And they did, because they think the current Republican party is not really the Republican Party. It’s been hijacked by this group that…
And what did O’Keefe’s video show?
… think the current Republican party is not really the Republican Party. It’s been hijacked by this group that…
Rep. Peter King is set to begin hearings about radicalization within the American Muslim community. Apparently Rep. King feels that it’s not enough to simply be law-abiding; one must also be actively seeking out terrorism within one’s community in order to avoid being dragged before Congress.
Peter King, of course, has a perfectly spotless record in opposing terrorism.
The hypocrisy is so hard to swallow I think I’m going to need the Heimlich.
Sadly, the title sums up the article all too well.
